We are excited to announce the final
estimated totals for the 2007 project.
We had well over 500 entries and
we appreciate everyone who entered.
Because of YOU, we were able to
raise over USD$10,000.00 and plant
over 8,100 trees. Many designers
across the United States received
fluorescent light bulbs to replace
their old bulbs. In addition, all
designers had a tree planted in
their name through the
Trees
for the Future organization.
The Design Green Project was inaugurated
to give designers and artists an
outlet to participate in a one-of-a-kind
project by being part of the solution,
rather than the problem, of the
Global Warming Crisis. This project,
in summary, is a design competition
and a way to raise money for a good
cause – the
StopGlobalWarming.org
fund. 50% of all proceeds are donated
to this cause. Additionally, every
entrant (within the United States)
received a fluorescent light bulb
and trees planted in their name.
